Expertise: Guiding students through the fellowship application process.
Rosemary Boshar, PharmD is currently a second-year Postdoctoral Fellow in Global Medical Affairs, Oncology at Sanofi Genzyme / MCPHS University. Dr. Boshar earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by her Doctor of Pharmacy from MCPHS University Worcester. Prior to her fellowship, she had experience at pharmaceutical companies of various sizes, ranging from biotech start-ups to mid-sized (Alkermes) and large (Takeda) pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Boshar joined IPhO as a student member in 2014, and served as Chapter President at MCPHS University Worcester from 2015-2016. She then became a National Student Officer and Chair of Scholarly Activities from 2016-2017. Since May 2017, Dr. Boshar has been a leader in IPhO’s National Fellows Council as Chair of the Professional Programming Committee, a role which she will continue to hold through the duration of her fellowship.
Dr. Boshar is passionate about the expanding roles of pharmacists within the pharmaceutical industry, and the value of PharmD Fellowships. She has expertise in both applying for fellowships and recruiting fellows after successfully tackling the process as both a student and a fellow. Empowering and coaching student pharmacists with the same drive is very important to her, and she looks forward to doing so in this role!

Tanya Chaudhri, PharmD, is a Global Regulatory Strategy fellow with UCB Pharmaceuticals. She is an alumna of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy (UIC), where she had the opportunity to discover her passion for the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Chaudhri was the founding Vice President of her local UIC IPHO chapter during her second year of pharmacy school, President during her third year, and IPhO National Student Officer of Chapter Network Management during her fourth year. She currently serves as Co-Chief Fellow of the IPhO National Fellows Council.
Tanya has had various experiences within the industry including completing an internship at Takeda Pharmaceuticals in Regulatory Affairs Advertising and Promotion, as well as diverse APPE experiences at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Quarles & Brady. Her past industry experiences and involvement through IPhO have laid the foundation for her career as an industry pharmacist, and she is a strong supporter of students by helping helping them create their own individual industry career path.

Jerry Silverman, BS Pharm, is a former industry marketing executive and former President and CEO of Bimark Medical Communications (1992–2008) where he utilized his extensive experience in pharmaceutical marketing, training, and managed care to build a successful agency.
Mr. Silverman is most proud of his contributions to the professional growth and advancement of pharmacists in the industry. From 1998-2008, Bimark participated as the first pharmaceutical agency to have a fellowship within the Rutgers Post-Doctoral Program. During that period Jerry interviewed over 500 candidates during Midyear conferences.
Jerry has more than twenty-five years of experience serving as a preceptor, mentor, and coach to student pharmacists and fellows pursuing industry practice.
In 2008, Jerry was honored by the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (ACME) for his commitment to the professional development of industry pharmacists.
Mr. Silverman professional career includes positions in sales, training, and marketing at Eli Lilly and Searle. Jerry created and oversees the IPhO Coaching Service and specializes in coaching students and fellows at their most significant professional career time. He has personally coached over 250 students and fellows since 2014.
Expertise: Guiding students, fellows, early career professionals in Regulatory Promotion and other (noncommercial) career paths.
Leah Palmer, PharmD is currently a consultant in FDA prescription drug promotion regulations. Most recently, she served as Executive Director in Regulatory Affairs at Amgen Inc., as a Regulatory Promotion lead with oversight of a wide range of product promotional activities.
Prior to joining Amgen in 2001, Dr. Palmer was a Branch Chief of one of the enforcement branches in the Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising and Communications (DDMAC, now OPDP) overseeing product advisories and enforcement actions. In addition to her Branch Chief role, she served as DDMAC Senior Enforcement Advisor.
Prior to joining FDA, she completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at Purdue University College of Pharmacy and an Industrial Clinical Pharmacy Fellowship affiliated with Rutgers University and Parke-Davis. She received her B.S. in pharmacy from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Pharmacy and worked as a clinical pharmacist in various hospitals.
